Services

1

Counselling Services

Brief, solution-focused counselling to individuals, couples, and families.

Counselling to both typical and atypical adults in changing life situations that no longer bring them quality of life. Available face-to-face, by telecounselling (over the phone) or Skype®. Telecounselling is becoming more popular as people have busier schedules, live at a distance where services are limited, may not be able to readily access to transportation or may have a different ability that confines them to their homes.

Confidentiality

A New Leaf Counselling respects your rights to privacy and confidentiality. Circumstances such as risk of harm to yourself or someone else, and risk of abuse or harm to a child are exceptions to the above policy.

Consulting

ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis)

Working with you to develop programs to match your family’s or agency’s needs.

Community, Education & Employment Settings

For families & persons needing support in community, educational, and employment settings via collaborative and case management models, and to businesses & agencies to enhance inclusive employment practices.

I am available for consultation from daycare through to university, to community agencies and the workplace. Many parents consult with me to assist with Transition plans and to help agencies understand and accommodate the different learning styles associated with autism and other learning styles.

Post Secondary Institutions

I consult to post secondary institutions in supporting people with learning differences especially autism. In my research I have found there are few supports for people with autism who want to access post secondary opportunities or who find it difficult to obtain or maintain education goals and/or employment.
